The was one of my first experimental pieces where an animal appeared out through the paint. After the initial layers of painting with brushes, using a limited colour palette where I applied the paint intuitively, I then worked with a pallette knife, an old credit card, a squeegee and the occasional brush mark to bring out the horse I found.
The denim blue tones here were created using only varying mixtures of Pthalo Green, Magenta and Titanium white. The only other colour used was Buff Titanium.
